What I Can Help With
-
I can help you work through sadness, irritability, low motivation, isolation, self-criticism, or feelings of worthlessness. In therapy, we explore what’s driving these feelings and develop practical tools to help you cope more effectively and improve your mood.
-
I support those experiencing anxiety, including worry, tension, racing thoughts, panic, or fear that feels overwhelming. Together, we explore what’s fueling your anxiety and build practical tools to help you feel calmer, more in control, and able to face daily challenges with confidence.
-
I work with you as you navigate major life transitions, such as starting college, changing careers, moving, ending or beginning relationships, or adjusting to new responsibilities. In therapy, we explore the challenges these changes bring and develop tools to help you manage stress, build confidence, and adjust more smoothly.
-
I can help you address relationship challenges, including communication struggles, conflict, boundary-setting, or difficulty connecting with friends, family, or romantic partners. In therapy, we explore patterns and build skills to improve connection, understanding, and healthy interaction.
-
I provide a supportive space for you to explore your identity, values, and sense of self, including questions about cultural identity, personal beliefs, or life purpose. In therapy, we work to clarify your identity, build self-acceptance, and align your choices with who you truly are.
-
I can support you in processing grief and loss, whether it’s related to a death, the end of a relationship, or other significant life changes. In therapy, we work through complex emotions, honor your experiences, and develop coping strategies to help you move forward while carrying what matters most.
-
I can assist you in navigating academic challenges, including difficulty with focus, motivation, time management, or managing stress around school and performance. In therapy, we explore underlying factors and develop strategies to help you succeed while maintaining balance and well-being.
Therapy for High School Juniors & Seniors
Junior and senior year can feel like a lot. Classes get harder, conversations about college or “what’s next” start happening all the time, friendships can get complicated, and family pressure can feel stronger than ever. It makes sense if you feel stressed, overwhelmed, unmotivated, anxious, or just unsure about everything.
Therapy is a space where you can talk about what’s actually going on, without judgment or lectures. We’ll focus on real-life skills no one really teaches you, like setting boundaries, handling big emotions, communicating clearly, and making choices that feel right for you. You’ll learn more about yourself, build confidence, and feel more prepared for whatever comes next.
You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

The teen years can feel like a rollercoaster, for your child and for you. There’s so much changing all at once. They’re craving independence but still need guidance. Emotions can feel bigger. Conversations can get harder. And sometimes, it’s tough to know how to help without pushing them away.
Therapy gives your teen a space that’s just for them where they can talk things through, learn how to manage stress and big emotions, and build confidence as they figure out who they’re becoming. These are skills that don’t just help right now but shape how they’ll handle college, relationships, work, and adulthood.
When appropriate, I include parents in the process. That might look like occasional check-ins or a joint session to improve communication and make sure everyone feels heard and understood. At the same time, I’m mindful of your teen’s need for privacy and growing need for autonomy. For therapy to really work, they need to feel safe and respected and we balance that carefully. Your role remains vital in your teen’s life. You will also receive guidance and practical tools to effectively support your teen’s emotional growth and development.
If you’ve been wondering whether therapy could help, that instinct matters. Support during these years can make a meaningful difference, not just in how your teen is doing now, but in who they grow into next.

Complete Paperwork – Parents fill out forms online to share background information and concerns. This helps me understand your teen and make the most of our time together.
Initial Parent Meeting – I will meet with just the parent(s), either in person or virtually, to review intake paperwork, discuss your concerns and hope for your teen, talk about your teen’s needs, and collaboratively establish goals for therapy.
Sessions with Your Teen – Your teen meets with me regularly (weekly or biweekly) to explore what’s coming up for them, build skills, and work toward their goals in a safe, supportive space.
Parent Check-Ins (as needed) – Parents need support, too! We can work together to better support your teen. This may mean, parent sessions, brief parent consults, or joint family sessions.
NOTE: By law, it is a requirement for custody/ legal paperwork to be provided prior to starting therapy with a minor to ensure appropriate consent obtained and your teen’s best interests are protected. If you have questions, I’m happy to help guide you.

After working together in therapy, the goal is for your teen to feel more grounded, self-aware, and confident in themselves. They will build practical skills to manage stress, handle strong emotions, communicate more clearly, and make thoughtful decisions about friendships, academics, and their future.
Over time, you can expect to see your teen handle challenges with greater ease, reflect before responding, and approach decisions with clarity and confidence. They will have a stronger sense of identity and a clearer understanding of their goals and values.
For parents, the goal is peace of mind in knowing your teen has support during these formative years and is developing the foundation needed to step into adulthood with steadiness and self-assurance.
Therapy for Young Adults
Young adulthood comes with a lot of freedom, opportunities, and, let’s be honest, a lot of uncertainty. Sometimes it comes with that quiet question underneath it all: Is this really the life I want? Therapy gives you a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of all the choices, expectations, and pressures in your life.
If you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or pulled in too many directions, therapy can help you feel more grounded, more confident, and clearer about how you want to move forward. It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about learning to listen to yourself, trust your instincts, and figure out what works for you.
