Clarity, Growth, and a Life That Aligns With Who You Really Are

Safe-but-real therapy for late teens and young adults navigating change, uncertainty, and the in-between moments.

I’m on a mission to…

provide a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and connect with who you are. Like the willow, we’ll find ways to help you stay grounded and flexible through life’s changes. Like the fox, you’ll learn to move with intention, trust yourself, and embrace your authenticity.

Take a deep breath,

you’re here now

This stage of life can feel overwhelming. You’re “supposed to” make big decisions, manage relationships, figure out your career path, keep up with adult responsibilities, and somehow feel confident about it all.

Maybe some days you do feel like you have it figured out. And other days? Not so much. You might find yourself overthinking everything, questioning who you are, or wondering if you’re “behind” or doing something wrong. There’s so much pressure to have it all together.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

I believe in cultivating a therapy space where you can show up as you are and say the things you don’t usually say out loud. With my guidance, we can sort through what’s feeling heavy, confusing, or stuck, with a bit of playfulness and humor.

You don’t have to have it all planned out or a good enough explanation to start this process. You don’t need a five-year plan.

Together…. we will figure it out.

Hello, I’m so glad you’re here

I’m Dr. Karen Yanez, a licensed psychologist based in San Antonio, Texas. My approach is rooted in supporting self-awareness, intentional living, and authentic growth. I value real, human connection and believe therapy should feel supportive without being forced or stiff. I love helping clients figure out who they are, what matters to them, and how to navigate life’s messy moments.

Here’s how we’ll work together

    Gain Self-Awareness

Understanding yourself is the first step toward making choices that feel right for you. In therapy, we’ll explore where it all began and identify patterns that keep showing up and getting in the way of the life you deserve. It’s about truly knowing yourself, deeply and fully.

    Live Intentionally

Learn to live with intention in every decision, every relationship, and in the way you move through your life. You’ll learn to slow down, trust yourself, and feel empowered in the choices and paths you take. With clarity and purpose at the center, you can create a life that feels deeply meaningful.

    Embrace Authenticity

It’s easy to get distracted or drift away from your core self. Therapy is a safe space to be honest about all parts of your life, embrace your differences, and lean into your strengths. Together, we’ll work on helping you show up confidently as yourself, without masking or trying to fit in.

Roadmap to services *

If something you’ve read here resonates with you, that’s usually a good place to start.

Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. It’s okay to begin with uncertainty, questions, or simply a sense that something needs attention.

If you’re ready to gain deeper self-awareness, move through life with greater intention, and fully embrace who you are, I’d love to support you.

  • A consultation call is an opportunity for us to connect, discuss what’s bringing you in, and see if working together feels like a good fit. During the call, you can ask questions and get a sense of my approach. If you feel ready, we can also discuss scheduling and begin your process. There is absolutely no pressure.

  • You’ll receive online intake forms to complete before we meet for your first session. These documents help me understand your background, current concerns, and goals so we can make the most of our time together.

Please fill them out thoughtfully as this is your first step toward prioritizing yourself and your growth.

  • When you are ready to schedule your first session, we will choose a day and time that works best for you. In this initial session, we’ll begin getting to know each other more deeply and start exploring what’s bringing you to therapy.

This is the start of creating intentional space for yourself and taking meaningful steps forward.

Change doesn’t happen all at once. It begins with one intentional choice.

That choice can be simple. Just reach out.
